Calbuco – Puluqui Island

We leave from Puerto Varas to the south on route 5 towards the city of Calbuco. The island of Calbuco is part of an archipelago of 14 islands in which we will visit the island of Chaullín. We will take a traditional “chalupa” (taxi-boat) to the island where we will see a diverse amount of marine fauna that usually live in the area until we reach Chaullín Island. On the island we will visit its forests of myrtle and olivillo aextoxicon among other species. We will learn the history of the island that is closely linked with various historical events of the region and finally we will return back to Calbuco in our “chalupa”.
